A mango is a fleshy, oval yellow-red edible stone fruit that is produced by the the tropical tree Mangifera indica.
It isa member of the drupe family. this is because it contains a fleshy outer section that surrounds the pit.
It is believed to have originated from between northwestern Myanmar, Bangladesh, and northeastern India.

1. Mangoes are rich in vitamin C. The high content of the vitamin helps support your body’s collagen production.
2. Mangoes contain copper folate which is important in red blood cell formation and for healthy cell growth and function.
3. Mangoes contain vitamin B6 which is a water-soluble vitamin responsible for normal brain development and for keeping the nervous system and the immune system healthy.
4. Mangoes are rich in Vitamin A which helps your body’s natural defense against illnesses and infections, helping vision in dim light, keeping skin and some lining of some parts of the body such as the nose healthy.
5. Mangoes contain vitamin E which acts as an antioxidant, it is also important to vision, reproduction, and the health of your blood, brain and skin.
6. Beta carotene, a pigment responsible for the yellow color of the fruit is an antioxidant.
7. rich in fiber which increases the weight and size of your stool and softens it.
